TEDD | PILOT

Tedd is a pilot based in Santa Monica, California.

Owning and flying his own airplane gives him access to a lifestyle few people experience. When the conditions are right, he can leave the city in the morning, fly himself and his friends across California, spend the day snowboarding, and be back home by evening.

On the day we met, that destination was Mammoth Mountain.

I met Tedd at the airport before sunrise and followed him through the final thirty minutes before takeoff. Checking weather conditions, preparing the aircraft, loading gear, and getting ready for another day in the mountains.

What stood out wasn't just the airplane, but how natural it all seemed. Flying across the state for the day wasn't a special occasion. It was simply part of a life built around adventure, spontaneity, and making the most of every opportunity to get outside.

This short film offers a glimpse into that morning and into a lifestyle built around possibility, mobility, and a willingness to make the most of a day.
