SPIDEY DE MONTROND
Professional Skateboarder, Surfer & Artist | Southern California
Rick “Spidey” De Montrond has spent more than five decades around skateboarding, surfing, art, and the communities that formed around them.
Filmed at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California, this short documentary follows Spidey as he looks back on growing up in San Pedro, discovering skateboarding in the 1970s, and finding his place in the Southern California skate scene.
Spidey reflects on the years that led him into professional skateboarding with Santa Cruz Skateboards, the close-knit community he came up alongside, and the experiences that have kept him connected to skating and surfing decades later.
